Meet Jasmine Furr

Jasmine Furr is a Christian, Mother, Author, and Publisher who is always quick to smile. She was raised in St. Louis with her parents and grandparents all under one roof. She spent her childhood reading Nikki Giovanni and writing poetry in a journal her parents gave her one year for Christmas.

She started Untraditional Publishing Company, LLC in 2011 while in business school at Florida A. & M. University. While there, she joined the Royal Court to recruit for the university and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Since then, she’s published 14 books in both poetry and children’s fiction.

5 days before she gave birth to her son, Jasmine published the first 6 books in The Achievers Book Series. Since its initial publication, The Achievers have sold over 124,000 copies and can be found in almost 200 schools nationwide.

Jasmine now lives in her hometown with her son and family. She enjoys yoga, boxing, laughing with her friends, and prioritizing getting a good night’s sleep.  Join her in celebrating every child no matter who they are or what they want to achieve.

Her books have been featured in the following: PBS, Huffington Post, Congressional Black Caucus, Essence.com, St. Louis Post Dispatch, and most importantly, her son’s daycare class. She is available for virtual book readings and prerecorded customized videos by emailing her directly at orders@theachieversbooks.com
